There is an expertly restored vertical at the top edge descending into the "T" of "SPORTS;" some minor restored edge and corner tears and small losses; this wonderful French travel poster should display beautifully once framed.
A Villemot poster for French tourism in the late 1950s. The winding ski run as a single abstract ribbon is the standout. It implies the whole mountain with almost no detail. Typical of his style: flat color, loose brushwork, figures that suggest movement rather than depict it.
