This great poster is in near mint condition with the top and vertical margins having been slightly trimmed; it should display beautifully once framed.
A vivid piece of Edwardian shipping promotion, and one with obvious historical resonance. This poster almost certainly depicts the Olympic-class liners at the height of White Star's prestige, printed in the years immediately surrounding the Titanic's ill-fated maiden voyage. Five liners arranged around the company's star emblem against a blazing red ground, the globe behind them suggesting a fleet that reached every corner of the world.
White Star Line material from this period is genuinely scarce and carries broad collector appeal well beyond the maritime poster category.
