There is surface scuffing and abrasions which is typical of silkscreen posters that have been previously handled; the poster was folded horizontally across the middle and there is some creasing along the fold line; this rare art exhibition poster should display very nicely once framed.

This Art Deco poster was made by the Illinois WPA Art Project and signed by Buczak. It advertises the Art Institute of Chicago's annual student exhibition. A spotlight shines across a black background onto stylized artists' tools in rust, slate and ochre. It's a strong piece of New Deal graphic design, and it will appeal to collectors of WPA art and Chicago history.
