There poster was folded three times vertically and three times horizontally; it was originally mounted to foam board, which caused a film-like layer to be glued between the poster and the board. Once the board was removed, the poster was remounted but the layer could not be removed, thus resulting in some fine and tight creases along some of the fold lines and cross folds; there is some staining and ink bleeding in the upper text and all margin areas; some surface paint loss caused during removing the poster from the board, with the loss most noticeable by the back of the soldier's foot in the bottom left area; there's some fine paper loss along the fold lines and cross folds; despite its flaws, this powerful propaganda poster should display beautifully once framed.
