There is edge and corner wear and losses, including along the upper left edge; there is paper yellowing/toning; this powerful Vietnam propaganda poster poster should display rather well once framed.
This poster was designed and screen-printed by students at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and it's all words. In big, rough red letters on tan paper, it says "Peace is not healthy for generals and other killing things." It's a twist on the famous anti-war slogan "War is not healthy for children and other living things," which was everywhere in the late '60s. Here the students flip it around to take a shot at the military. The lettering looks painted by hand, a little wobbly and uneven, and that's what makes it feel so real and personal. It's simple, funny and angry all at once, a great piece of anti-war history that still gets a reaction today.
