The upper yellow box with text is a snipe that was adhered to the poster post-printing; there is minor edge and corner wear, most noticeable at the bottom right corner; small round stain spot in the middle of the bottom text; some staining in the top yellow box and text area; some surface scuffs/abrasions; this extremely rare ocean liner/railroad travel poster should display very nicely once framed.

A stunning piece of American travel history, this art deco lithograph promoted the Panama Pacific Line's intercoastal ocean liner route — New York, Havana, the Panama Canal, and up the Pacific coast to San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. Created to coincide with the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago, A Century of Progress, the poster features a bold illustrated map of the Americas with vivid coral-red landmass, and striking period typography.
