There is restored edge and corner wear, small tears, creasing, and restored loss at the top left corner area area; some surface scuffing/toning/smudges, most noticeable in the yellow areas; this wonderful midcentury airline travel poster featuring the Lockheed "Connie" should display beautifully once framed.
Original TWA poster by David Klein, whose campaign for the airline ran from the mid 1950s through the 1960s. The Museum of Modern Art holds his 1956 New York poster from the same series.
This is the early printing. The aircraft is a Lockheed Constellation, the piston airliner TWA flew until Boeing 707 service began in 1959, after which the design was reissued with a jet.
