The poste was previously folded and there is some fine surface paper loss and light toning along the fold lines; minor edge and corner wear, small tears, and toning; some surface smudges/foxing; this beautiful midcentury airline travel poster should display wonderfully once framed.
This poster features the Noon Day Gun at Causeway Bay with junks crowding the harbor beyond. Kingman was one of America's foremost watercolorists, with work in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney, and he brought that reputation to a series of travel posters in the 1950s and 60s. Printed in Hong Kong for the Hong Kong Tourist Association.
