This fantastic WWI American propaganda poster is in near mint condition with only very minor edge and corner wear and should display wonderfully once framed.
An allegorical Columbia figure surges forward, American flag raised aloft, troops advancing through smoke and chaos behind her. The composition is dynamic and emotionally charged, with the illustration quality exactly what one expects from one of America's premier illustrators of the era.
The Liberty Loan campaigns produced some of the most accomplished poster art of WWI, and Christy was among their most prolific contributors. A strong example in good condition is always a welcome find for collectors of American military history and WWI graphic art.
