There is minor edge and corner wear and creasing, most noticeable in the right corner areas; small surface scuff near the bottom edge on the left side of the poster; thin line of discoloration along the edges of the poster caused when the poster was previously framed; this colorful poster should display very nicely once framed.
Hockney's photographic "joiners" of the early 1980s are among the most formally inventive work of his career. A blue deck, red furniture, tropical garden pressing in at the edges: the scene is fractured across a grid of overlapping exposures, each taken from a slightly different position and moment. The result refuses the single fixed viewpoint of conventional photography, replacing it with something closer to how we actually experience a space: moving through it, looking around, registering time passing.
