There is restored minor edge and corner wear and small losses; some restored horizontal creasing in the bottom of the image near the margin; a very well restored 1.5" vertical tear at the top edge near the middle; this gorgeous World's Fair poster should display beautifully once framed.

This is the poster for the second year of the Fair, and arguably the more dynamic design of the two. Sandor's composition is boldly modernist with a giant searchlight or telescope barrel thrusts toward the viewer, diagonal beams of light cutting across a deep blue night sky, fireworks and Fair pavilions visible in the background, and a glamorous woman in a pith helmet gazing out from the upper right. The words See, Hear, Play are woven into the design in fluid script.

A great Chicago piece that holds up as a work of design well beyond its promotional purpose.
