There are areas of restored losses and tears in the margins, most noticeable in the upper right corner area; there's a 5" restored vertical tear at the top edge descending into the second "C" of "CHICAGO;" notwithstanding its defects, this beautiful poster should display very nicely once framed.
The Marina City corncob towers anchor the composition, which means this poster can't predate their completion in 1964 and gives a solid earliest date for the printing.
The aerial vantage point looking down the river turns the city into an abstract arrangement of shapes and light rather than a postcard view, with that orange sun doing a lot of work to unify the palette across sky, river, and pavement.
