The poster was folded as issued and there is fine surface paper loss along the fold lines and cross folds; there is edge and corner wear and some tears up to 4" in length; some staining in and around the center vertical fold line, most noticeable near the bottom of the poster; despite its defects, this powerful American WWII propaganda poster should display very nicely once framed.
Melbourne Brindle's 1942 home front poster for the War Production Board, showing two airmen loading bombs into a bomber under a wry play on the Bundles for Britain relief drive. Brindle was an illustrator and automotive artist who worked for the government during the war. Printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office, poster number A-9.
