The poster was folded once vertically and twice horizontally and there is some fine surface paper loss along the fold lines and at the cross folds; some minor edge anc corner wear an small tears; this wonderful midcentury Belgian travel poster should display very nicely once framed.
This poster was printed for the Belgian Commissariat Général au Tourisme. Open shutters frame a lively scene of Belgium's historic art cities: Gothic towers, gabled houses, a parade giant, and a Gille of Binche, the costumed figure from Belgium's famous carnival. It has a charming mid-century style with warm colors.
