There is some old light colored tape residue and toning along parts of the outer edges; the image area is clean and bright; this wonderful WWI recruiting propaganda poster should display beautifully once framed.
This poster features one of the more recognizable images in American military poster art. Christy's confident female Marine fully uniformed, hand on sword, a battle scene unfolding behind her, was a deliberate and effective recruitment strategy, implying that if a woman would fight, surely a man should too. The illustration quality is superb, as one would expect from Christy, one of the premier American illustrators of the era.
