There are restored corner needle holes; otherwise, this beautiful midcentury airline travel poster is in near mint condition with no noticeable defects and should display wonderfully once framed.
One of the best in David Klein's celebrated TWA series, this stunning poster features a tumbling mass of zebras filling the frame against a vibrating red and orange striped savanna, with the interlocking black and white stripes creating an almost op-art effect that is as visually arresting today as when it was printed. Klein had a gift for bold, joyful graphic design, and this is him at his most confident.
Klein's TWA destination posters are among the most collected American airline posters of the jet age, and the Africa zebra image is one of the most recognizable in the series.
