There is restored edge and corner wear, tears, and small losses; there is a 3" vertical tear at the bottom edge on the left side; some abrasions and small tears in image; this fantastic Alaska travel poster should display very nicely once framed.
This travel poster was issued by the Alaska Steamship Company and reproduces a painting by Sydney Laurence, Alaska's best-known early painter. A steamship glides through a calm, glowing fjord beneath snowcapped peaks, with the caption "Along Alaska's Sheltered Seas." With its luminous, painterly scene, it will appeal to collectors of travel posters, maritime history and Alaska.
