Step aboard one of the most celebrated trains in American railroad history. This richly illustrated poster places you right inside the glass-topped Vista-Dome observation car of the California Zephyr, surrounded by well-dressed passengers marveling at towering canyon walls, rushing whitewater, and snow-capped peaks. Through the panoramic curved windows, the gleaming silver streamliner snakes ahead through the wilderness; a view that made the Zephyr famous.

Operated jointly by Western Pacific, Denver & Rio Grande Western, and Burlington Route, the California Zephyr ran the full San Francisco-to-Chicago route through Feather River Canyon and the Colorado Rockies, widely considered the most scenic rail journey in North America.
