The excess linen has been trimmed to the margins; the poster was folded once horizontally; there is edge and corner wear, small tears and tiny losses, most noticeable in the upper left corner area; corner needle holes; some toning to the paper; stain spot along the left edge to the left and slightly above the "P" in "PARIS;" this fantastic French art deco travel poster should display very nicely once framed.
The view through the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel frames the Place de la Concorde obelisk and the Arc de Triomphe beyond, two doves crossing the arch in the foreground, small figures and a dog strolling below in the hazy golden light. Serene and beautifully layered.
