The poster was folded and there is minor restoration along the fold lines to address fine surface paper loss; there is restored edge and corner wear, tears, creasing, crinkling, and loss, with some tears slightly entering the image; poster should display very nicely once framed.
Oscar Rabe Hanson's illustration captures two riders in full hunt dress clearing a fence on the North Shore countryside. The Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad promoted the affluent communities along its line, and equestrian subjects were a natural fit for that audience. Both a deeply Chicago piece, and an uncommon one.
