The poster was originally folded and restoration has been performed to address surface paper loss along the fold lines but some lines are still noticeable; restored minor edge edge and corner wear; restored vertical area of loss from the middle of the poster down to the bottom through the captain's deck of the ship and the left side of the "N" in "NEW;" some restored surface paper losses and abrasions; despite its defects, this fantastic art deco World's Fair ocean liner poster should display nicely once framed.

Ten Broek places a gleaming HAL liner before the Manhattan skyline, the Trylon and Perisphere of the 1939 World's Fair rising behind it, American and Dutch flags flying together. This stunning poster is a snapshot of transatlantic optimism on the very eve of the war that would shatter it.

The combination of World's Fair imagery, ocean liner, and New York skyline in a single poster makes this a rare crossover piece with broad collector appeal.
