There is a lacquer coating on the surface which was applied when the poster was printed; edge and corner wear, tears, creasing, and some small repaired losses; some surface stains; this very rare early 20th century maritime poster should display very nicely once framed.
This 1908 French timetable poster for Messageries Maritimes shows a steamship under way, with sailing schedules for Indochina and Japan, Australia and New Caledonia, and the Indian Ocean. It also has a world route map, all set in Art Nouveau frames.
