There is some mat staining along the outer edge from when the poster was previously framed; colors slightly attenuated; very minor restored edge and corner wear and tiny tears; poster should display very nicely once framed.
Original poster for American President Lines' intercoastal service, New York to California by way of the Panama Canal, with the route and its ports of call marked across the map. The company took that name in 1938 in the reorganization of the older Dollar Steamship Line.
Intercoastal passenger sailings of this kind faded after the war as air travel took the route, and surviving advertising for the service is uncommon.
