There is restored minor edge and corner wear, small tears, creasing, and small losses; there are some surface scuffs and abrasions, which is typical of silkscreen posters that have been previously handled; this fabulous and rare Disneyland attraction poster should display beautifully once framed.
This vintage Disneyland attraction poster advertises “Adventure Thru Inner Space,” the Monsanto-sponsored Tomorrowland ride that opened in 1967. It took guests on a “shrinking” journey into a snowflake to explore the world of molecules and atoms. Glowing blue and green atom-like bursts float across a deep blue background while the ride’s black teardrop-shaped “Atomobile” vehicles drift among them, under bold pink lettering. The poster carries a Walt Disney Productions copyright. It’s a striking piece of Space Age design from a beloved, long-gone attraction, and highly collectible for Disneyland and mid-century modern fans.
