This poster by Paul Colin advertises the official touring production of Les Amours d’Ève from the Nouvelle Ève, the famous Paris cabaret. A golden-haired Eve stands against a pale blue background, holding an apple, with the serpent wrapped around her arm. The text promises 60 performers, 500 costumes, and costumes and sets by Erté. It was printed by Vibert in Paris, and it’s an elegant, witty piece of mid-century Paris nightlife advertising by one of France’s great poster artists.
