The poster was folded once vertically and twice horizontally. It is in near mint condition with two tiny restored holes to the left of "NURBURGRING;" poster should display beautifully once framed.
This is an official poster for the 19th International ADAC Eifel Race, which was held at the Nürburgring on August 26, 1956. Two open-wheel racing cars bear down on the viewer in a low, dynamic perspective, the lead car's red bodywork and number 2 rendered with loose, expressive brushwork against a stormy blue-grey sky. Printed by Van Husen, Köln, the poster carries the ADAC golden eagle emblem marking the organization's 50th anniversary. A vivid piece of mid-century motorsport graphic art.
