The front side of the poster has a layer of varnish, which is somewhat common for this Air France poster; there is creasing/cracking throughout, most noticeable in the middle of the bottom text area and along the top edge; some edge and corner wear, including a clean 5" vertical tear at the top edge and going down between the "R" and "A;" this gorgeous Air France poster with incredible colors should display wonderfully once framed.
One of the most visually arresting posters in the entire Air France series. Boucher fills the frame with a great golden phoenix rising through a deep crimson sky, a Constellation aircraft crossing above, mosques and pagodas dotting the landscape below. Rich, layered, and beautifully printed by Perceval. A standout piece from one of the golden periods of French airline poster art.
