There is minor edge and corner wear; restoration has been performed in the bottom corner areas to address surface paper loss; this wonderful midcentury airline travel poster should display beautifully once framed.
Original Qantas poster by Harry Rogers, whose HR monogram sits at the left edge, printed in Australia by Posters Pty Ltd. The kangaroo is set against a panel of motifs drawn from Aboriginal art, a device Qantas returned to repeatedly in its mid-century advertising.
The credit line reads in association with B.O.A.C. and TEAL. TEAL, Tasman Empire Airways, became Air New Zealand in 1965, which places this sheet before that year.
Small format, issued for travel agency display rather than as a full sized airline poster.
