A bird's-eye panorama of the Loetschberg district in the Bernese Oberland, c. 1960, drawn in the tradition of Swiss relief-map painting. The view sweeps up from Lake Thun at Spiez through Frutigen and Kandersteg to the Lötschenpass and the peaks of the Blümlisalp and Doldenhorn, with Adelboden in the side valley and the Loetschberg railway line traced in red. Every village, hut, and summit is named. Published by A. Trüb & Co. of Aarau, the leading Swiss maker of tourist panoramas, and signed L. Koller in the lower left. A handsome piece for anyone who has hiked, skied, or ridden the train through this part of Switzerland.
